There are two ways of thanking God for the gift of your baby.

The most common is a christening, also known as baptism, in which promises are made on behalf of your baby, that this child will be brought up in the Christian faith.

We will meet with the parents to discuss the meaning of baptism and to help them decide if they feel ready to make this committment.

Your baby or child will also need some godparents, who are prepared to support and pray for your child as they grow up

The other way of thanking God for your baby's safe arrival is a thanksgiving service.

This doesn't require the same commitment of faith as a christening but is every bit as special
